About Me...
My love of horses began when I was about twelve years old. I learned how to ride on the back of a Tennessee Walkernamed Blaze. He was a large strawberry roan sabino gelding owned by a man named Mr Gatlin T Jones. He trained his bird dogs off of him and did field trials. He took me under his wing and taught me how to ride by moving his foot out of the left stirrup and saying "Put your foot in there and get up here like you know how." The photo to the left is the only photo I have of him :-(
At about that same time, I got my first "job" taking care of a grey Arabian gelding named "Safaro". I fed him every day and kept him brushed. I was only allowed to ride him in an english saddle and of course, he wasn't gaited so I didn't ride him a whole lot that I remember. :) I preferred the western saddle even then.

After Mr Jones moved away, I got to see him during summer visits at my dads in Lampasas, TX. His next horse was a Missouri Fox Trotter named Blaze :) He was a beautiful strawberry roan with four white stockings and a blazed face. I loved that horse!
At about that time I was 16 years old and he helped me find my first horse. His name was Rebel Knight. He was a black w/star and snip 4 year old green broke TB/QH cross that Mr Jones helped me break to ride. He cost me a whopping $325. He was a great horse. I did some playdays on him and some 4H stuff plus barrel racing and trail rides.
I loved horses so much, I took art for 4 years in school just to learn how to draw horses.

Had to get out of them for a couple of years due to marriage, divorce then marrying again. In my early 20's, I started riding for a man that was a gaited horse trader. Did that for a year or two in my spare time for free. I loved doing that! :) Then life totally took over and it wasn't until I was in my late 30's before I got another horse. At that time in my life, I realized it wasn't a good time, so I got right back out of it.
Now that I'm a little older and settled, my husband and I were talking one day and I told him I don't watch anything on TV about horses (rodeos, horse movies, etc) and he asked why... I told him that I missed having horses and he told me "Then get a horse!".... so it's ALL his fault!!! LOL and I'm so thankful! I love you Sean! So, here I am ... back in to horses in my 50's, which is ok. I hope you enjoy all my stories, photos and videos as much as I did making them!
